Evacuated

I know it has been a while since I have updated. Shandra and her two boys came up from Houston just before Ike hit the coast. She arrived Thur evening and left yesterday. Matt stayed behind. He is a "born nature boy", so he endured the endless days of no power. No damage to their home, just no power. And as of today...still no power. Andrew goes to a pre-school and they were open today so she wanted to get him home to attend that. We lost 8 hrs of power here last Saturday and that was enough for me. Just hope they get theirs soon!
Blake and Shandra

Stephen came home for one night.

Andrew and Kassy playing tug-o-war. Andrew the first day he was here was so afraid of Kassy, that we had to carry him from one place to another, he would not walk on the floor. By the second day he was fine with her and Kassy did really well around the little kids.

Blake loves to ham it up when the camera is on him!!
My kids, the day Shandra left, they came home from school were sad that Andrew and Blake weren't around to play with. Andrew knew their routine and when they were leaving for school in the mornings and when the bus arrived in the afternoon. When the kids were gone, Andrew went to Uncle Todd and played with him. He would say, "Uncle Todd do you want to watch dinosaurs?" It was always Uncle Todd. We went to PetSmart one day to see the fish and all, but literally had to take Andrew out of the store screaming because he did not want to leave. So his big thing was "I need a blue fish from PetSmart." I told Shandra, that boy needs a fish. Once they get power Andrew may get one.

At our local park, we now have a splash pad there for the little ones. Andrew and Blake loved that with their other cousins Lauren and Emily.
