Summer

I know it has been awhile since I have updated. Had VBS last week and it went really well...really enjoyed it! Here are just a few things we have been up too. Todd is off this week and went to play golf with Stephen. We were going to go camping this week, BUT Matthew's Drivers Ed coach called Monday and he starts driving today through Friday morning. So after he gets home Friday we are going to go up to Daisy State Park in Arkansas for the weekend. Looking forward to getting the camper out!! I have also been going to the Farmers Market every weekend and last night Todd and I went and picked up more sweet corn. It is not summer without sweet corn. It has been sooooo good too! Think I will have to freeze some. Also picked up cucumbers (big ones 50 cents each, cheaper than the grocery store), tomatoes, and new potatoes.

It is not summer if we don't get reading done. Nicole who is reading this series is almost done! She will have lets see.....at least 100 AR points if she takes tests on all these when school starts. Matthew is finishing the last Harry Potter book which he has one chapter left...then when he takes an AR test he will probably have met his goal. Nicholas is reading too...but cant remember his series he is reading. He is just not reading as quickly as Nicole. I just want the kids to be up on reading when school starts. Oh and the horse on the book....Nicole got this kit for her birthday and she had to paint the horse and attach the mane and tail. She did a good job!! Will update after we get back this weekend.
