Our Short Vacation...but a good one.

Well this past weekend we decided to get the camper out and go up to Daisy Arkansas and camp at Daisy State Park. We left Friday morning after Matthew finished his driving. He drove 3 days with his coach and is done with that. Now its to the DMV to get his permit. Anyway, we left here at 10 Friday morning. We got to the campground around 1. Didn't do much Friday.
Here is a picture of our site.

This is a deer we saw when heading up to the office to get ice.

Saturday morning we got up and went to the Caddo River to go....KAYAKING!! I know...too much fun! We got on the river about 10ish. Took us 3 1/2 hours to go down river. Yes, a few of us tumbled over but the water was great, weather was cloudy and breezy and not hot! It was perfect. A few kids were crabby by the time we finished. Matthew says, "The next time, my boat better have a motor on the back end of it!"
Ok, the pictures are NOT that great. We bought a disposable camera at Dollar General (no waterproof ones). There is not much shopping in the Arkansas small towns. We were lucky to find a Dollar General. Plus I put the camera in my strap of my swimsuit and had a cover up on so it wouldnt get wet and I wouldnt loose it, but at times when I got out the rocks were sooo slippery with even wet shoes on that I slipped a few times but never got my hair wet. I did think at one time I may have gone down far enough to get the camera wet...I was hoping we were going to get pictures out of this and we did. So the $5 camera, doesn't have great quality but atleast you can tell what is going on.

Here we are waiting for the bus to come get us!! We are all so excited!!

Taking a break. While the rest of us catch up to them.

I know this is small but pictures of us on the kayaks.

Todd beating Matthew in a game of checkers.

Matthew taking a nap with Kassy.

I was playing a game of " Kemps" with Stephen, Nicholas and Nicole.

Woody Woodpecker, we saw him at the gas station where they had internet for us to view a radar before our float trip.

That was our weekend. One we can say....."we will always remember and stories to tell."

Let the dog out this morning here at 530 and this just had to take a picture of.....so pretty. A little foggy though.
